Chotopia has finally given up and accepted that St. Valentine's powers were bound to trap them one way or another. For that reason, the website has been updated with a red theme that favors the current month's celebration!

Furthermore, the Citizenship page has been updated to showcase this month's item: the Valentine Basket!

Don't forget that you can now select a recurring Citizenship that will lower its cost starting the second month of the plan. That means that you will pay five (5) dollars for the first month and only three (3) dollars and seventy-five (75) cents for the subsequent months.

My Citizenship will renew tomorrow, so I will be sure to give you a look on the new item.

Romantic dinner and drawing contest!

With the arrival of February also comes the arrival of love and affection. Not that love and affection should not be shown during the other months, but in February these feelings are slightly heightened.

For this reason Katara is inviting all of us to a special event in her home: a Romantic Dinner Party! AWWW! Here are the details:

Romantic Dinner!

• DATE: Feb 18th
• PLACE: Katara's house
• TIME: 10 PM Cho-time
• THEME: Formal attire

As mentioned by Katara, you should dress to impress. The party will be moving to Café Street once the dinner is over.

Moving on to another subject, a new contest has also been announced. The goal? To draw one of the old moderators from .com in a Valentine's day theme or to simply draw in the old vintage look that Chobots had before 2010.

Katara offered this as an example of the vintage look:

Winners will receive Citizenship, paintbrush and a rare item. Isn't that neat?

So Chobots get ready! Because this month is going to be fantastic!

Super Mario Run: Golden Goomba event!

Although this blog is about Chotopia, I would like its contents to be as varied as possible. Talking about different subjects gives me the opportunity to interact with the community in great new ways.

For that reason, today's blog post is about one of my favorite games: Mario! Specifically, Super Mario Run, the mobile version that was launched in December.

For those of you who don't know, Super Mario Run is an application that follows Mario in his long lasting quest of saving Princess Peach.

Since yesterday, a new event has been launched: the Golden Goomba event!

Golden Goombas will appear in certain stages of the World Tour until February 19th. Don't worry about not knowing where to look for because an icon will appear over stages where Golden Goombas will appear (with higher stages hosting more Goombas at the same time). Like this:

All you have to do is enter the stage that is hosting Goombas and kill them as you would normally do to any other enemy. Like this:

Each Goomba that you successfully kill will give you a bonus of thirty (30) coins and will also give you a stamp to complete your set of stickers. Completing the four (4) sets of stickers will give you different rewards.

• Completing the first set of stickers will reward you with one (1) golden goomba statue for your Kingdom
• Completing the second set of stickers will reward you with two (2) golden goomba statues
• The third set will reward you with three (3) statues
• And last but not least, the fourth set will reward you with a giant statue of a golden goomba that looks like this:

There are only about three hours left for the Nichos Mission competition to be over and we clearly have a winner. With an advantage of almost 300 points, Simokitty99 will evidently win this one.

On the other hand, the Robots competition ended today and here are the results.

Tropical party recap!

Today the team celebrated the long awaited tropical party at Mission Street! YEAH! Here are some highlights of the event:

• They gave out this amazing Captain Chokru Background:

• They reduced in half the price from the Pirate's stash:

• They wanted to pick a player dressed with the tropical theme to accompany them on top of the tiki head. That player turned out to be me HEHEHE. Squad goals:

• They also announced two things. The first one is that Captain Chokru will leave tomorrow, so you better get those items and complete his quest fast! The second is that after the Asteroid competition there will be a Robots competition! YASSSSS!

Meet our new Agent!

Bonjour mes amis!

Let's give a big round of applause to the great Agent101 who has become our newest Agent! WOOHOO!

The team has not made an official announcement, but I went to his playercard and saw that he was already given his Agent badge.

And although the team had said that more than one Agent was going to be selected, I checked Sony's and Bebot's playercard, who gained second and third place respectively, but neither of them had the badge.

Furthermore, the Agent page only features Agent101 as you can see below:

Therefore, I am assuming that the only Agent selected has been him.

Which is why I want to congratulate him on this magnificent achievement. I know that you're going to do a fantastic job as Agent.
